How to Add a Contact Form

Adding a contact form to your CS-Cart store allows customers to get in touch with you easily. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Log In to Your Admin Panel:

    Open your web browser and go to the admin panel of your CS-Cart store. Log in using your administrator credentials.

  2. Navigate to Pages:

    In the admin panel, look for the "Design" tab in the main menu. Click on it to access the design settings.

  3. Go to Layouts:

    Under the "Design" section, you'll find a subsection labeled "Layouts". Click on it to manage the layouts of your store.

  4. Select a Page to Edit or Create a New Page:
    • You can either select an existing page where you want to add the contact form or create a new page specifically for the contact form.
    • To create a new page, click the "+ Add Layout" button, give it a name (e.g., "Contact Us"), and choose a layout template.
  5. Edit the Layout:
    • In the layout editor, you can add and configure blocks. Look for a block that allows you to add a form or content.
  6. Add a Form Block:
    • Drag and drop a "Form" block onto the layout where you want the contact form to appear.
    • Configure the form settings, including fields like name, email, subject, and message. Make sure to include a "Submit" button.
  7. Configure Form Settings:
    • Click on the form block to access its settings. Configure options like form fields, validation, and confirmation messages.
  8. Save Changes:

    Once you've added and configured the contact form, click the "Save" button to save your changes.

  9. Link to the Contact Form:
    • If you created a new page for the contact form, make sure to add a link to it in your store's navigation menu or footer.
  10. Test the Contact Form:
    • Visit your storefront and navigate to the page with the contact form. Test it to make sure it's working as expected.

Additional Tips:

  • Set Up Email Notifications:
    • Configure your CS-Cart to send email notifications when a customer submits the contact form.
  • Include Captcha (Optional):
    • To prevent spam submissions, consider adding a captcha to your contact form.
  • Provide Clear Contact Information:
    • In addition to the contact form, make sure your store displays clear contact information like email addresses and phone numbers.

Remember to save your settings after making any changes. This will ensure that the contact form is added and configured correctly on your CS-Cart store.
