Managing product inventory in CS-Cart is crucial to ensure that you have accurate information about the availability of your products. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Log In to Your Admin Panel:

Open your web browser and go to the admin panel of your CS-Cart store. Log in using your administrator credentials.

  2. Navigate to Products:

In the admin panel, look for the "Products" tab in the main menu. Click on it to access the products section.

  3. Edit or Add a Product:

Either select an existing product from the list or add a new product by clicking the "Add Product" button.

  4. Go to the Inventory Tab:

In the product editing page, find the "Inventory" tab. This tab is typically located next to the "General" tab.

  5. Set Inventory Details:
    • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): Enter a unique identifier for the product. This is useful for internal tracking.
    • Quantity: Specify how many units of this product you have in stock.
    • Low Stock Notifications: Set a threshold for when you want to be notified about low stock. CS-Cart can send you an email alert when the stock falls below this number.
    • Out of Stock Status: Choose what happens when the product is out of stock. You can choose to display an "Out of Stock" message or hide the product.
  6. Save Changes:

Once you have set the inventory details, make sure to save the changes to the product.

  7. Bulk Editing (Optional):
    • If you have a large number of products and need to update inventory in bulk, you can use the "Bulk Edit" option in the product list. Select the products you want to edit, then click "Bulk Edit". From there, you can adjust inventory quantities.
  8. Check Product on Storefront:

Go to your storefront and navigate to the product to ensure that the inventory details are displayed correctly.

Additional Tips:

  • Regularly Update Inventory: It's important to keep your inventory information up-to-date to prevent overselling and ensure a smooth shopping experience for your customers.
  • Consider Using Stock Status Notifications: Enable the low stock notifications so you can be alerted when a product is running low. This can help you restock in a timely manner.
  • Integrate with Inventory Management Software: If you have a large inventory or multiple sales channels, consider integrating CS-Cart with inventory management software for more advanced inventory control.

Remember to save your settings after making any changes. This will ensure that the inventory details are associated with the product correctly and displayed as intended on your storefront.
