How to Set Product Prices and Discounts

Setting product prices and applying discounts in CS-Cart allows you to control how your products are priced and promote special offers to your customers. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Log in to Your Admin Panel:

• Open your web browser and go to the CS-Cart admin panel by entering the URL followed by "/admin.php" (e.g., http://yourdomain.com/admin.php). Log in with your administrator credentials.

2. Navigate to Products:

• In the admin panel, locate the "Products" section in the left-hand menu and click on it.

3. Add or Edit a Product:

• To add a new product, click on the "+ Add product" button. To edit an existing product, locate it in the list and click on the "Edit" icon (pencil icon).

4. Set the Product Price:

• In the product details page, locate the "Prices" section.
• Here, you can set the base price for the product. Enter the price in the designated field.

5. Apply Quantity Discounts (Optional):

• If you want to offer discounts based on the quantity purchased, you can configure quantity discounts. Click on the "Quantity Discounts" tab.
• Click on "+ Add quantity discount" and specify the minimum and maximum quantity for the discount, as well as the discounted price.

6. Apply Promotional Discounts (Optional):

• You can apply specific discounts or promotions to a product. Click on the "Promotions" tab.
• Click on "+ Add promotion" and configure the details of the promotion, such as the discount type (percentage, fixed amount, etc.) and conditions for the discount to apply.

7. Set up Price Overrides (Optional):

• You can set specific prices for different user groups or for specific date ranges. Click on the "Price Overrides" tab.
• Click on "+ Add price override" and specify the conditions for the price override, such as user group, quantity, and date range.

• After setting the prices and discounts, be sure to click on the "Save" or "Save Changes" button to apply the settings.

9. Configure Tax Settings (Optional):

• You may need to set up tax rates for your products. You can do this in the "Taxes" section of the admin panel.

10. Test in Storefront:

• Go to your storefront to verify that the prices and discounts are applied correctly.
